Weekly maintenance standard processes are below and any remaining time can be used in ad-hoc development requests to a maximum of your monthly available hours.
– Localised backups of your website – We download a local backup of the site and store it for one month. Most servers have automatic backups but these can take an extended time to recover. Localised downloaded backups can usually have your website back up and running in 15 minutes (depending on website size) which will allow us to do a full recovery over time (applies only to websites not hosted with DigiGround).
– Apply all available security updates of CMS, Plugins and Themes – It’s not just the CMS that needs to be updated. Themes and plugins also have security loopholes that need to be closed. These also need to be kept up to date to match the current CMS functions.
– Testing of all functions and pages on the site – This is determined with you and it depends on how much time you want to use in your weekly hour. We can test forms, shops, or other functions as a user.
– Monitoring of website for downtimes – We add your site to our 24 hour monitoring software. If your website goes down, it sends a message to all our web administrators. If it hasn’t gone back up in 15 minutes, we kick into gear and start investigating. You can also opt in to be included in these notifications for a small additional fee ($20/month per person)
– Any updates as requested by the client within the outlined time period each week – Ad Hoc requests that can be completed within the allocated support hours.
