The Navzad Memorial Foundation is a member of our DigiGround Community and we are proud t o have supported their cause throughout the years. As part of our DigiCare Program , we donated 1% of our time to designing and developing a full website for the Foundation. The website served as a place for supporters and contributors to donate to their cause and register for fundraising events.
The Foundation aims to support families and friends struggling with the reality of brain cancer by providing a platform for support and education, where people can connect and share their stories. They want to generate more awareness of the importance of health and medication alongside hospital care and push for better funding into brain cancer research. People need greater understanding of the facts of brain cancer and how to fight it.

To find a cure, there needs to be greater focus on research in Australia. While existing treatments for brain cancer, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, are on the market, they often have little effect in fighting the battle of brain cancer. Survival rates have had little improvement over the last 30 years, yet there is still a slow turn towards clinical trials as a source of treatment. Brain cancer survival rates have increased by less than 2% since 1982 (Cure Brain Cancer Foundation). These worrying statistics highlight a greater need for support by the government into developing sophisticated cancer research.
